I can be booked for solo gigs, or bring along some of the talented musicians, I’ve worked with over the years, performing as a duo, trio og full band for a lot of different types of events and projects. Here are some examples:

Viking

YouTube: Jotunger Vikings

I perform at Viking festivals and similar events with both Almune and Jotunger. I play the gemshorn, lur and frame drum in both bands. The main difference is probably that in Jotunger, the lyre and our own compositions define the sound, whereas in Almune it’s more about Nordic folk songs accompanied by moraharpa, nyckelharpa and bouzouki.

Medieval

YouTube: Almune live at Horsens Medieval Festival

I first performed at Medieval Festivals in 2007. Since then I have played a lot of concerts and been a part of at all kinds of Medieval events with the musicians of Almune. If you’re looking for an experienced Medieval band for your event, look no further.

Folk

Nordic/Celtic Folk Fusion with Jotunger.

Jotunger also performs special shows with Whisky & Witches and Christine Kammerer.

Folk

Nordic Medieval Folk with Almune.

YouTube: Almune + Elevatorfører (live at Radar)

Almune also happily collaborates with other bands.

Fantasy

I started playing music at fantasy roleplaying events way back when I was only a youngster, and later at a lot of events with my old band Lurpakket. I still play D&D today, and I’ve performed with Jotunger at the Fantasyfestival in Esbjerg for the past couple of years, having a lot of fun playing music from computer games and movies.

Film & TV

Interview on DR Historie
Almune Interview KMM

I’ve done a lot of interviews and been a part of several film & tv productions, so I’m pretty used to being in front of a camera and producing music and performances for media use. If you have a project in mind, don’t hesitate to ask.

Churches

European Medieval Music and/or Nordic Folk with Almune. The band has a long history of performing in churches, often with the concerts being combined with small lectures on the historical background of the music and the function and use of the instruments. The group can also participate in church services.

For a larger ensemble, take a look at Musicantiga.

DUO

HC Molbech & Molly Granhøj / Almune

I started playing music with Molly in the Medieval Folk band Lurpakket in 2006, and since then we have done several concerts as a duo. Especially at Viking events like the one in the picture. Here we are performing at the celebration for when the five Danish ring fortresses were included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

DUO

HC Molbech & Christine Kammerer / Jotunger

The music in Jotunger was born from my collaboration with Christine Kammerer, who also has her own solo career as a singer/songwriter with her own songs accompanied by piano, guitar and lyre. Add my tenor voice or gemshorn, recorder or frame drum, and you have a duo that can do quite a lot of different types of performances.

Solo

My solo performances are typically based on me playing the gemshorn or recorder and showcasing my rather large collection of different instruments. At museums, historical festivals and similar places, this is often accompanied by a talk or small lecture, depending on the audience. And it’s always popular when I play fanfares on my wooden lur of more than 2 meters length (picture below).
